HISTORY OF HIMIG BALIAN

In 1995, Himig Balian was just a

simple group of talented students who has been organized by Mrs. Dina G. Pulian, currently a Master Teacher II in Araling Panlipunan and the Senior High School coordinator of Balian Integrated National High School through inspiring students who share their talents in singing.

Initially, the group only aims to serve the Lord through singin in unison in the monthly mass held in their school.

Year 2015 was a turning point of Himig Balian choral music. They start to relish  they're doing particularly throughout their sectionals before as they sing as a group.

after a year, the trainer-coach, Mrs Dina G. Pulian, become so busy with her task as Senior High School coordinator since it has been the begining of K-12 implementation.

Mr. Joel D. Capistrano took over the choir on June 17, 2017 as he was being appointed by Dr. Cecilia B. Castillo who was then the school principal. The group became '' Himig Balian Chorale''. With the eagerness to compete in the Laguna Musikahan. They hired a music instructor, Mr. August del Mundo for them to continue the students' in passion in music and bravely joined the competition for the second time.

On July 2018, Mrs. Dina G. Pulian took over again the group and commits herself to handle it and share with students their common passion. The group was named again as "Himig Balian''. 

For now, members are arrange to sing in four types of voices. They are singing choral pieces catholic church and OPM music with arrangement of some Filipino and even foreign composers.

Members of the choir continues to meet after class to the sectional rehearsals wherein a smaller group of the choir with the same part will practice together before they sing together as a whole group to create harmony. 

In the 2019 Laguna Musikahan, the new school principal, Mr. Christian S. Balino gives peaceful support to the group believing that show casting one's talent will give each member musical confidence that will enhance their lives in the future.

The group is also planning to conduct a mini-concert to encourage students who also have talents in singing to join the group since there are many members of the choir belongs to the graduating students.
